A little late to the party on this one, but the Dallas Cowboys beat the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving day in an impressive 34 – 9 win in the last Thanksgiving Day game to be played at venerable Texas Stadium. Some stats from the game:
- Tony Romo was 22 of 34 for 331 yards, 3 TD’s and 1 INT.
- Marion Barber left the game with a toe injury after rushing 10 times for 32 yards and a TD.
- Rookie Tashard Choice held his own after Barber left, rushing 11 times for 57 yards.
- T.O. had a nice game with 98 yards and a TD.
- Both tight ends showed up to play, with Witten going for 115 yards and a TD, while Martellus Bennet had a couple of important catches for 35 yards and a TD
- The Cowboys defense was a huge factor, recording 7 sacks of Seattle’s Matt Hasslebeck, including 3 by DeMarcus Ware putting him in the lead in the NFL for sacks this season (15).
The big story of the game, of course was both Barber and Demarcus Ware leaving the game with injuries, causing some distress for Cowboys fans. Subsequent testing has shown that neither injury was serious.
