Jerry Jones, on his radio show, addressed concerns that Adam Pacman Jones wasn’t playing well enough prior to his latest suspension to warrant being welcomed back onto the team in time for the week 14 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pacman is expected to return punts and possibly kickoffs. He is also expected to play in some defensive subpackages.
“On the field we have missed him,” Jerry Jones told the team’s flagship radio station. “Up until just maybe last week or a week ago he led our team in pass breakups, he led our team in tackles back there in the secondary . . . I know that in looking at his off-the-field issues it has been stated that he wasn’t that great on the field. I think some of that was a little overlooked.
On the same radio show, he provided an update on the status of DeMarcus Ware and Marion Barber, two of the Cowboys’ star players that were injured in the Thanksgiving Day game against the Seattle Seahawks. Jones said that Ware, currently the leader in sacks in the NFL, has a bone bruise on his knee, but will play through the pain. Barber will have some extra support on his pinkie-toe, but will also play.
It is not known whether the notoriously bad field conditions at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field will affect Barber’s play. For a refresher, this is the same field where this happened:
