Cowboys-Steelers Matchup

December 6, 2008 Posted by: Dan Horne

Florio over at ProFootballTalk.com has posted a lot of good info in a single post about the upcoming clash between the Cowboys and the Steelers. His post includes a link to Ted Sundquist’s writeup of the game, which is very thorough breakdown.

The Steelers have unarguably the best defense in the league, but when they have come up against truly high-powered offenses against the Giants, Eagles and Colts, they have lost. This is because, while their defense is great, their offense sucks eggs. It’s all in Sundquists report, but basically their offense is not built to endure a high-scoring shootout. It is for this reason that I believe the Cowboys will win, even with Marion Barber staying home in Dallas with a bad pinkie-toe (pinkies are killing us this season). Granted, though, I am probably biased.
