Linebacker Bradie James
According to reports on ProFootballTalk.com and DallasCowboys.com, linebacker Bradie James attacked a disgruntled fan who was holding signs outside of Valley Ranch. The signs said “Cowboys Have No Heart” and “Wade Phillips is a embarrassment to the Star.” The fan, identified as Alan Lowe, was apparently preventing James from leaving the facility in his car.
“I almost ran him over with my car,” James, a team captain and vocal leader, said. “I said, ‘Man, I’m getting ready to hit you with the car; you’re just in the way.’
“He was like, ‘Why didn’t you guys have that fire last night! You should’ve showed that much heart last night!’ So the next thing you know, I’m just ripping that sign off of him. He said that I broke his glasses, so I went and gift-wrapped some Oakleys, and he got something out of the deal.”
According to PFT, James met with Alan Lowe, Dallas police and Cowboys staff later and Mr. Lowe decided not to file charges in the incident.
“It just goes to show you the heart of the city,” James said. “When we lose, people take it personally. We take it personal too. It’s definitely frustrating. I don’t even know how many times we have to hear how frustrating and disappointing it is.”

I like Bradie James, but after seeing his interview after the incident, I don’t know. It seemed as if he was more interested in his own “disappointment”, than that of the fan’s. In deed, he spoke as if he didn’t care about the fan. Seeing him as some kind of lent, or dirt, to be brush of his lapel. I mean I hope I’m wrong. But, I don’t know. What do you think?

I don’t know, you may be right. James has always seemed like a good guy, and maybe he was just pissed about how the season ended, but specifically the comment “He said that I broke his glasses, so I went and gift-wrapped some Oakleys, and he got something out of the deal.” says to me that he didn’t really understand or even care about why the fan was upset in the first place. Like the guy just wanted to get a free pair of sunglasses instead of seeing his team improve.

@texastoast- My sentiments exactly. On the one hand you want to like the guy, and even give him the benifit of the doubt. But on the other hand, his words are distant, and uncaring. And maybe even, arrogant? Unbelievable, I know. But there it is. And again, with the hope that I am totally wrong. Unfortunately, I have heard Tony Romo talk this way Many times. So I don’t know. Maybe we Are fool’s for giving them our money.

Whatever they are, they’re the Cowboys and I’ll stick with them. I can’t give up just because of a bad season or fifteen. I have some friends who are die-hard Panthers fans. Did they give up after ’07 when they were laughably bad on a QB rollercoaster? Nope. And look at them now. I have other friends who are Raiders fans… STILL! I can’t give up. Eventually the ‘boys will improve. Maybe one day JJ will give up the GM spot, who knows?
