I’ve said before that I can’t stand live blogs. Well now I’m doing something about it. I’m changing it up. I’m not gonna do a stream of random thought-like posts, because it’s hard to follow. Instead, I’ll post at regular intervals. There’ll be a pregame post with my thoughts running up to the game, followed by updates after each quarter.
Ravens-Cowboys Matchup

Saturday’s game at Texas Stadium is a a big game for both the Ravens and the Cowboys. The winner will be one step closer to a wildcard berth in the postseason, and the loser can warm up the TV, since that’s the only way they’re seeing the playoffs.

One Down, One to Go: Cowboys Fire Stewart
Well I was unexpectedly away for a week and I come back to find that the Cowboys have (unknowingly of course) heeded my advice to fire defensive coordinator Brian Stewart. I mentioned it in passing when arguing for the dismissal of Offensive Coordinator (for now, see below) Jason Garrett. I believe that releasing Stewart was a very good decision on the Cowboys' behalf.
Demarcus Ware is Getting His Props
Demarcus Ware didn't get the single season sack record. He was mighty close, only 2.5 sacks away at the beginning of the terrible loss to the Eagles that knocked the Cowboys out of playoff contention. Ware recorded zero sacks in that game, but his 20 sacks on the season were still enough to lead the NFL...
