Dallas Cowboys Offseason Moves – 2009 Edition, Part 1

Friendly-Romo

The Dallas Cowboys started their offeason earlier than expected due to an embarrassing 44 – 6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. That December game catapulted the Iggles into the playoffs for a deep run while simultaneously sinking the Cowboys’ postseason hopes of the same.  For the Cowboys, it was win and in, but win they did not.  In fact, it seemed to the fans at home that the team that started the season as NFC favorites for the Super Bowl ended the season by rolling over for Philly.

During the 2008 season, the Cowboys were racked by injury and intrigue and unfortunately we found out who they really were underneath all that talent.  Since then, the Cowboys have made several offseason moves, several of which seem to be aimed at fixing the locker room chemistry and cementing Tony Romo’s role as leader of the Cowboys both on and off the field.

After the jump, I have a chart of the offseason transactions the Cowboys have made.  UPDATED: Now with more rookie signing goodness and player positions!
